RMT Solar Boat Team is a solar boat team from Indonesia based at Diponegoro University, developing innovative solar-powered vessel prototypes for international competitions. The team designed and built the Diponegoro 1.0 solar boat project, representing Indonesia at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2023. The project focused on sustainable maritime technology by integrating solar energy systems, efficient propulsion, and engineering innovation. The team was awarded the Innovation Prize: Upcycling for the Ocean for developing boat components using recycled materials derived from used COVID-19 face masks, demonstrating a commitment to circular economy principles and environmentally responsible marine engineering.
